About Michelle
Michelle MaliZaki is the Ichiban Mom of comedy. She's a vintage Japanese immigrant mom with joyful, high-energy stand-up and polite-savage punchlines hidden inside all that sweetness.
Michelle is a Japanese-American comedian, writer, and podcaster based in Los Angeles, and she performs stand-up regularly across Southern California. She is featured in Comedy InvAsian III, the Asian American stand-up comedy special now streaming on Amazon Prime Video, where she performs her first 30-minute set. She has also appeared on Rosie Tran Presents (Prime Video) and performed at SF Sketchfest.
Off stage, Michelle co-hosts Nihongo to English, a bilingual Japanese-English comedy show, and Japanese America, a cultural podcast for the Japanese American National Museum.
