šŸŽ¤ From Notebooks to Stand-Up… to SF Sketchfest and Comedy InvAsian!!!

ree

OMG!!! Big news — I’m going to SF Sketchfest! 🤩I’ll be performing on the Stand-Up Showcase at The Lost Church, and I still can’t believe it. SF Sketchfest is where so many incredible comedians have stepped onstage — and now I get to be part of it!

When I started stand-up, I didn’t even know what ā€œstand-up comedyā€ was. (Honestly, I thought it was like karaoke but with opinions.) And now… I’m headed to SF Sketchfest. Life is wild.

AND it gets even bigger:This February, I’m recording my very first 30-minute set for Comedy InvAsian!!! šŸŽ‰šŸ˜±

This is such a dream come true. Comedy InvAsian uplifts Asian voices in comedy — stories like mine. A Japanese woman who came to America, discovered comedy by accident, and scribbled her first jokes in a notebook.

And here’s the part that makes me emotional:My stationery pop-up events — Pen Paper Palooza and the Venice Pop-Up — are literally funding my comedy path.People buy their pens and notebooks… and somehow, they are also helping me chase this huge, sparkly dream.

I am so thankful. Truly. I always say I’m the luckiest girl — and I mean it. This community, both comedy and stationery, lifts me up in ways I never expected.

I went from being a mom who loved stationery…to working at a Japanese notebook company…to quitting that job to pursue comedy…to accidentally building the West Coast’s first stationery festival…to performing, teaching, and now…festival stages and my first recorded special.

SF Sketchfest.Comedy InvAsian.Rosie Tran Presents on Amazon Prime Video. And one day — Madison Square Garden 2030.

I’m saying it out loud. I’m manifesting it.And I’m working for it — one joke, one notebook, one pop-up at a time.

Let’s go!!! šŸ‹šŸŽ¤āœØ
