🩷 Stationerycation Is Over — Back to Reality (and Teaching!)

My Stationerycation is officially over — and I’m back to ā€œnormal life.ā€ (If performing comedy and organizing stationery festivals count as normal!)

A few days before the Pop-Up, I had the honor of performing with Daisuke Muramoto in West LA. His set was incredible — sharp, fearless, and full of heart. Watching him reminded me why I started doing comedy in the first place. It reignited my dream of one day performing at Madison Square Garden. (Yes, I said it out loud — manifesting!)

Then came the wild weekend — I hosted the Pen Paper Palooza Pop-Up on Abbot Kinney in Venice during the day, then performed a comedy show at Junkyard CafĆ© that night. Pens in the morning, punchlines at night — it was a full day of ink and improv!

And speaking of dreams — I’m so thankful to be part of Rosie Tran Presents, now streaming on Amazon Prime Video!I’m featured in Episode 3, and it still feels surreal to see myself on that screen. From open mics to Amazon Prime — this journey keeps surprising me.

Now that the washi tape dust and comedy adrenaline have settled, I’m back to teaching again. This fall, I’m leading both a Conversational Japanese class and a Stand-Up Comedy class at Conejo Recreation & Park District in Newbury Park. šŸŽ‰

It feels amazing to be back in the classroom — helping people find their voice, whether that’s saying ā€œarigatoā€ with confidence or nailing their first joke on stage. Both are about connection, timing, and joy — and I’m grateful I get to do both.

So yes, Stationerycation is over, but the creativity never stops. From pens to punchlines to Amazon Prime to dreams as big as MSG — I’m just getting started.
